Why do we do it?
It all started as a necessity to promote what we love the most; music!
There was a lack of press coverage for US Hispanic bands and we stepped in to promote the music we listen to, the bands we play in, the friends we have trying to make it as artists, and promote the music we grew up with and the one we listen to. Is that Latino mix of Beatles & Soda Stereo, The Artic Monkeys & Zurdok, Manu Chao & Brazilian Girls…

Who founded Fábrika?
The creators of Fábrika, who are part of the first generation of the “Spanglish” market, have an extensive career in the entertainment industry. Claudia Calle, is a well-known photographer in the Latin music industry who has worked with music celebrities such as Ricky Martin, Robi Draco Rosa, Soraya and Café Tacuba. Gerardo “Toto” González, musician by passion and designer by profession, has worked as art Director for recognized Hispanic companies such as Televisa Group, Spanish Broadcasting Systems, among many entertainment publications.
Through grassroots marketing and ongoing online campaigns, the word on Fábrika has already leaked out into major markets worldwide. During the last five years, Fábrika Group has vertically integrated by successfully creating related companies that complement each other, providing the platform for a very effective cross-marketing scheme.

Why is Fábrika in English?
We started our site in Spanish back in 2001. The only reason we switched to English is because we would like to let 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation Latinos that not necessary read or speak Spanish to get in touch with the music they like in the language they grew up and feel more comfortable reading. This does not make us less Latinos. This will also help other music lovers that do not speak or ready Spanish to access and enjoy our content.
We are Latinos in the USA.
