This is the new sound. This is Miami. This is the future. Locos por Juana represents a transnational integration of rhytms and attitude. They recently did a Europe tour and we had the chance to talk to them to get the insights...

Tell us what was the best part of the Europe Tour
The best part was being able to make a multicultural exchange, traveling and meeting new people, and also people that would sing your own songs. The landscapes, the food, the good vibes, and such. A thousand things that make these places almost magical.

What was your favorite stop?
The best stop was Amsterdam, because that city is way advanced. It was one of the best concerts--Amsterdam Roots Fest. The Coffee shops were very nice, being able to see that language is not a barrier, that everyone is fascinated by Latin music.

Any funny story?
The funniest story would be in Germany, when people asked us for "She's The Devil", and that hit us very hard, it was very cool because we didn't have it on the set, and well, we had to play it anyway! It was hilarious, very spontaneous!

How did the people react?
The people reacted awesomely, the public is very open to Latin music, and we think there's a great future for Miami music outside of the country.

Who did you share stage with?
We played with Ojos De Brujo, Sergant Garcia, Karamelo Santo, Kymany Marley, Damian Marley, The Toasters, Roy Paci--Radio Bemba's trumpet player, Oscar De leon, Voltio and Femi Kuti, between others.

Any plans to go back? What's next for LPJ
We're coming back in August and February for the release of our new album coming out in January. What's next is the new material we're cooking in a few weeks, called "Somos De La Calle". It's very experimental, and we're going to work with our street families to represent Miami to the world! This will come out on an EP featuring 4 songs in October first, and then in January people will be able to experience the entire disc.

Here is a clip from their show at the Amsterdam Rootsfestival 2009
