Finally.
Sure he's collaborated with everyone and their mothers and has enough side projects to start a festival, but we've always wondered why he never went solo. Well, Third Man Rec's press release answered that question when they let out the news that Jack White's debut, Blunderbuss, will be released April 24th. Here's what he had to say:
“I’ve put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas"
Blunderbuss' first single, "Love Interruption" is already available for download, and he's set to headline this year's Sasquatch festival in Washington and Hangout Music Festival in Alabama. Check it out below:
