"Waka Waka'' (''This Time For Africa'') its the official soundtrack of the FIFA World Cup 2010 that will be performed by Shakira and the South African group Freslhyground in the final ceremony of the World Cup on July 11 at the Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburgo.
Shakira is very excited about this and she has defined the World Cup as a miracle, "The World Cup is a miracle of the world emotions, uniting all countries, race, religion into one passion. It represents an event that has the power to unite and integrate, and this is what the song is about."
The song is going to be available for download on May 11. "Waka waka" and the Spanish version will be included with "Time for Africa" in the album Listen Up: The Official 2010 FIFA World Cup which will be released at the end of May. All profits from sales will be donated to build 20 centers "Football for Hope" for public health, education and soccer in Africa and to other benefit organizations.
