The 30 year old Colombian musician has dedicated the majority of his life to music and finally releases his first album titled "Peregrino".
Galeano says he "does not recall his life before music", he has been familiar with music since he was a little boy, studied in Rotterdam to become a double-bass player for Jazz and in the move from place to place, from Colombia to Holland, from Holland to the United States and so on, Juan Galeano became a "Peregrino" (outlander) performing in different festivals like the Roskilde festival in Denmark, Eurosonic in Holland and Manomundo in Belgium, as well as tours trough France and Germany. Juan had the opportunity to share stage with well acclaimed artists like The Mars Volta, José González and Ojos de Brujo, he was also invited by Juanes to open some of his concerts in Europe on 2006 as well as the Mexican rock band Zoé who also invited him on their 2007 tour to play with them throughout the United States.
After deciding to go back to Colombia, Galeano met Andrew Loog Oldham, the producer of "Peregrino" who has worked for legendary bands like The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Charly García and many others. His biggest influence is Jeff Buckley, he was also influenced by The Beatles as well as Ben Harper. Juan Galeano is a new sound, fresh, very different from what we are used hear in spanish. "Se Me Olvida" is the first single from this album, very pop/folk with acoustic guitars and banjos that bring a very retro feeling to the song. Juan Galeano is just coming out, but he is more than ready to bring a whole new musical proposal to spanish music.
