Dirty Projectors and Bjork have collaborated on a new EP to help save the whales.
Recently, the Brooklyn-based band Dirty Projectors and Bjork released their newest collaborative effort entitled Mount Wittenberg Orca. The album is a result of last year's benefit concert for NYC's Housing Works as it was so well received. The name and concept stems from band member Amber Coffman's own sighting and interaction with an Orca whale pod in Mount Wittenberg, CA. Though they released Bitte Orca last June, this long-awaited collaboration makes for a unique second follow up to their first success. The seven-track, $7 album is available now and proceeds benefit the National Geographic Society Ocean Initiative. With a message that emphasizes the importance of being environmentally-aware of our oceans at a time like this, what better way to help than enjoy some good music for a good cause.
