Hands down, the album with the wittiest lyrics and sickest beats.

El Cuarteto de Nos (Uruguay) have been in the Latin rock scene since the 1980's.  With more than 10 successful albums and four years later since their last album Raro, El Cuarteto de Nos have released Bipolar [Explicit], once again, making an impact on listeners and admirers.

All 12 tracks contain rhythms that alter from one banging melody to another and have explicit lyrics, which considering the generation we are in, anything goes.

The first track is titled after the album, Bipolar, a smashing electronic/cumbia beat where the singer raps about the bad case of the disorder.  Following a couple of tracks, including their first single, "El Hijo de Hernandez", comes a cynical song called "Nada me da Satisfaccion". A perfectly written song on how many things, including camping, radio, religion, bingo, Domingo, dj-ing, shopping, the routine, having fun, and even being bored, cannot satisfy him.  The heavy electric guitar riffs in this track can show the bands edgier side.

Skipping a few worthy songs, we stumble across
"Primavera", 1 out of 2 slow-paced jams, which is possibly the only love song on the album....if a desperate need for chuku chuku is what they call love.  Well, actually, it does have a sweet melody with soft chirping love birds in the background which balances everything out.  On the other hand, the other slow-paced song is also about love...pure, real, narcissistic love, "Me Amo".  This track has to be one of my favorites due to the sarcastic selfish lyrics: "dibujé un corazón que dice yo y yo, me amo", but that's nothing, I'm posting the track below so you can observe this outrageous and peculiar song.

In my opinion, these sudacas saved the best for last (as if the previous 11 are not good enough),
"Breve Descripcion de Mi Persona". An alternative rock song with a nice flamenco flair to it describing in a very authentic and honest way every defect and quality that (I assume) the singer has.

As kinky, narcissistic, and elicit as this album may be it is a no-brainer why El Cuarteto de Nos received a Latin Grammy nomination for Bipolar [explicit].
