This is an astonishingly pleasant and gorgeous EP, to the extent that words can not describe, & I'm not only saying this because they are a Miami based band. I'm saying this because I became overwhelmed with their "elastic bond".
Elastic Bond is a band from Miami, FL, who have shared stages with artists such as Los Amigos Invisibles and have left many speechless with their unique style and fusion of music. At first glance, their EP Frecuencia Natural will leave you asking and wanting more.
The four tracks that make up this sweet-short-lived experience are:
Frecuencia Natural, a track that makes you lounge through the hippest bars in South Beach without having to leave your room. It is primarily an electronic mix of keyboards and brass instruments, but this 'punchy punchy' is like no other. Towards the ending, you will indulge with the true gozadera of Latinos in SoFla; a combination of whatever sweetness was happening before with salsa flavor that will have you shimmy'ing those shoulders till the end.
Pierdo El Control can be an "I don't care what anyone thinks" dedication to that bad boy in your life. The beat is more toned down compared to their previous track, but that doesn.t mean it's any less important. In fact, it is what I like to call a revolutionized genre of bolero and cha-cha-cha. While Frecuencia Natural has me lounging in South Beach, Pierdo el Control has me dancing in some club in Cuba during the 50s with Celia Cruz and La Sonora Matancera.
You - Ay!, takes us to another dimension. The dimension of reggae roots and with a collaboration of Miami owns Latin Grammy winners, Locos por Juana. The track has that bombastic combination of digital beats and dance hall, which will hypnotize you for three and a half minutes!
Corazon is the last track of the EP (I told you it was a short-lived-experience). The lyrics send a love message with many emotions. The jazzy rhythms of the soft piano, drums, and ooo'ing chorus, over-shine this sensual melody.
These will probably be the best 16 minutes of your life and you will enjoy it sooooo damn much that you WILL want more.
