"AQUI NO SE ESTA JUGANDO"

Sincerely,
ABOUT info on Cuarto Poder's Facebook page.

Nacional Records brings us one of their freshest release, straight from Venezuela to the comfort of our own homes, comes Cuarto Poder.  The name of the group derives from the four elements of hip-hop: break dance, graffiti, MCs, and DJs.  The cover art and title "In Tha House" may seem a bit dated but this is Venezuela's current hype in the urban scene.

"In Tha House" consists of 18 tracks, some which are older than five years but still with all the essence intact!  Arenita Playita is their opening song,  Cuarto Poder along with UK folk singer Eska take you to the impeccable beaches of Venezuela with this tropical mixology of salsa, reggae, and hip-hop.  Hip Hop Pinton, Culto, and No Pierdas Mas El Tiempo, are an example of the songs that show strong character and streetwise protests with that "me vale madre" attitude at full blast.  El Que Llevo, Llevo is one of the tracks that rhythmic wise stands out.  In this song you will come across a brass party of funk and pure gozadera, and then I figured out Los Amigos Invisibles are featured in El Que Llevo, Llevo, which explains it all.  Tolerancia is the track I found most appealing, due to its reggae roots inspiration, especially the change in melody towards the first minute and 15 seconds.

On your date with Cuarto Poder expect a lot of flow, criollo rap, and explicit language; the bad words may not be appetizing at first, but that becomes the least of the problems once you enter this world of Latin rap.
