“No un oro ostentoso, sino un oro bien usado” Goy, Tostao y Slow AKA as ChocQuib Town are now a days the strongest representative of the Colombian urban music scene. Their unique verse flow and strong Colombian “Sonido del Pacifico” pride adds to the mix that gives this CQT something so hard to find in music today: uniqueness.
“Oro” is the latest production from these talented trio in which they sing about their Choco region-black pride, one-night-stand adventures, street life and the much-needed peaceful rumbas in café country (“.. vamo’ alla , vamonos pa’lla, a rumbear, pero sin pelear”…)
Some highlights include “Te saco a corre”, “La casa o la calle”, “De donde vengo yo” and the track “Rumbear sin pelear”, one of the most sophisticated latin hip hop tracks I’ve heard in a while. This is a great addition to any eclectic music collection.
