This trio of badass Argentinian girls "No Lo Soporto" ('I can't stand it') released their second album called "Avión", a much better look to what they can really do. There's a big leap from their first album to this one, since now they finally decided to stick to singing in spanish, I have to admit they did sound a little silly trying to sing in english since it sounds like they were biting off more than they could chew. But it's good for a beginning! better go too far than not far enough.
Avión starts with... well, "Avión", a song with a fast paced rock-and-rollish vibe, vocals are still feminine with that touch of 'I don't care enough to really hit a girly pitch'. The mood slows a little with "Cambiar Es Existir", they get more mournful tone that sounds sweet. "Soy Nada" is one of the songs that stayed in my head, they play a little more with the vocals and the rhythm includes some flowy guitars, reminiscent of Cerati's stuff. And speaking of Gustavo Cerati, they did a great song with him in this album! "Nunca Iré" has clearly lots of his influence in it, it feels as if he just told them 'let me take care of this, you just sing along'. But definitely a track that has my repeat button mashed, I mean, the simplest of lines "Que todo lo que brilla en mí / no es más que lo que empañás", ('Everything that shines in me / isn't more than what you fog up') feels as strong as a sword.
"Otro Lado" is also a soft ballad, this time the girls do get girly, but I have to say, their melodies really pierce through the heart. Their vocals go so well with their guitars that it's a little magical. "Instante" is a little sarcastic since it actually drags a little too much. "Voy A Estallar" is catchy and a classic rocker jam.
