Latin Bitman surprises us with every new release. The upbeat dub tune “Emigrante” is an amazing example for it. This is a song that has nothing to envy from the dubster master Thievery Corporation.
Born in Chile with his ID showing the name of Jose Antonio Bravo, Bitman creates, mixes, and remixes his own tracks from scratch creating a unique sound environment and proudness in every track which he spices up with guest vocals like on “Help Me” with Francisca Valenzuela, Hip Hop artist Anita Tijoux on “Insomnio” (one of my favorites), funk master C-Funk on ”I Wanna Wake You Up” amongst others. How can we describe his sound? How could you? This is a “Soundcocho”! Don’t even bother on trying to define a style. This is a CD made to enjoy from beginning to end from a DJ/producer perspective. I can picture that “gringo” you're gonna give this CD to saying: Me gusta mucho tu Latino music! I can even understand algunas de las lyrics and this is gonna make me look good with my friends in Delaware. This is a great thermometer to where the Latin sound is going and where it can go from here.
