Imogen is back! The girl from the duet you would know as "Frou Frou" of course sings solo as well. On this latest album called "Ellipse" she keeps her common sweet lyrics and soft vocals. Her vocals are always ethereal! The highlight of this album is definitely the single "First Train Home", which is best to listen while actually trying to get on a train home (completely makes the dream-picture!)
It has the vibe of anxiety and getting away from things. The sound of this album doesn't really have new tendencies, Imogen doesn't change much through time, which is a bummer. I wonder how she'd sound in different ways. "Wait It Out" is another catchy one. She knows exactly what set of words to repeat in a cute way to make it stick in your head. "Earth" already starts with beat vocals which is always refreshing as well. This album is exactly that, fresh and breezy, give it a listen:
