From the home of tango and Boca Junior comes a music producer with a bag full of innovative ideas. His name? Pedro Canales. His alias? Chancha via Cicruit. His creation? Rodante.
Still lost? Let's just say this Argentinean came up with a new style of cumbia that will have, (or better yet), already has el pueblo overwhelmed and on their feet.
Pedro Canales has been producing and making musical experiments since 2005. What does the chancha stand for? It is his alter ego, it basically means, "Pig on a circular train". The train he takes is “La Chancha” and the line that takes him home is the “Circuito”, influenced by his own journey, Canales became the train.
“Rodante” is the creation. The creation consists of cumbia, both al estilo Colombiano and prominent Villera, various world instruments, and noises such as trains, cars, and machine sounds (all to finalize it with an organic touch). Don’t think he’s in this project on his own; Pedro invites his friends on his train and features a couple of amusing remixes from originals.
Twelve vibrant melodies rated E for everyone and rated K for kick-ass! “Rodante” is exclusively made with the purpose to enjoy, dance, and interact with Pedro in a more personal level. This is overall and exhilarating experience and mind you, coming from a person that once found Cumbia Villera to be disrespectful and disgusting.
Ojo, this album is not distributed in the United States. Therefore, purchase it online; it is a MUST for your collection. I promise.
