There are so many rockeras doing or trying to do the same thing Ely Guerra does, but for some reason, this femme fatale is the QUEEN in the genre.  Ely Guerra's latest studio album, Hombre Invisible, falls under sensual and exquisite.  I hate to sound repetitive, but THIS is the best album I've heard and reviewed (I promise).

Hombre Invisible is composed of ten to-die-for songs, and I mean it in the most humble way possible.  The production is a beautiful work of art, both lyrically and musically.  I can tease you with a few paragraphs of convincement but I rather you decode this album for yourself.

In this album, Guerra collaborated with many men in the music scene, such as Bunbury and Juanes.  The collaboration wasn't physical and their voices are not found anywhere in the album.  It was more of an inspirational and idea collaboration for example in the song You love me where Ely Guerra worked with Meme from Cafe Tacuba.  Yes, it's an english title, oh by the way, Guerra fuses both languages in this production, a couple english, a couple spanish, some spanglish, y le luce!

Like almost every album that I've reviewed, Hombre Invisble has a swift change in melodies, the mood changes from quick to soft tempos almsot every other song.  Lontano is the smooth opener from the album, where the percussion slighlty overcomes the rest of the ensemble.  Messy and Stranger (the first single) are the following tracks, that speed up the situation, I must warn you though, Guerra interprets alot of cooing, whispering, and la la la's in this album.

Then we have songs that I would like to talk about, like Colmena,  Mi Condicion, and Bumeran, but I leave you those as Homework.

La Habitacion is the closing track and the longest one at that (8+ minutes).  Her voice stretces out for the first 3 minutes and the remaining of the song is focused on an elegrant piano piece.

Somewhere in between Lontano, the cooing, the hush's, the lalala's , the spanglish, and La Habitacion, is a song which I like to describe as the gem of this production.  It's called Antes de Septiembre , I love it for many reason, beginning with the sexy message and the addicting melody, it's definately the milk in my Cheerios and that's why I leave you with a preview.
